Launching Our First Airbnb Took 5 Months Longer than Expected

We took the plunge into one of the hottest Airbnb markets in the country, Joshua Tree.

We thought it was going to be an easy cosmetic rehab and furnishing and we'd be READY to launch!

But we were so wrong!

From our contractor causing a gas leak, our fencer getting arrested, roof leaks, and the City of Yucca Valley putting a hold on short-term rental permits... the journey to get out our short-term rental permit was filled with SO many challenges along the way.

And now we are got our first bookings coming in and we're ready to host in Joshua Tree.
